To maintain the integrity and intended impact and goal of Beacon of Hope these conditions have been set to disqualify a beneficiary. Here are the disqualifying conditions:

1. Misrepresentation of Financial Need

1.2. False Financial Information: Providing false or misleading information about household income or financial status, which undermines the trust and purpose of the scholarship.

1.3. Undisclosed Additional Support: Failing to disclose other significant financial aid or scholarships received elsewhere, which could indicate that the beneficiary no longer meets the financial need criteria.

2. Academic Underperformance

2.1. Poor Academic Progress: Falling below a minimum grade point average (GPA) or failing required courses without a valid reason, as it may indicate a lack of commitment or potential to complete the program.

2.2. Failure to Meet Academic Milestones: If the scholarship requires specific academic progress or attendance milestones, failing to meet these requirements could lead to disqualification.

3.Behavioral Issues or Misconduct

3.1. Violation of Institutional Rules: Being suspended or expelled due to misconduct, such as cheating, harassment, or other rule violations, may warrant disqualification.

3.2. Criminal Behavior: Committing a serious offense, particularly if it reflects poorly on character or trustworthiness, could also be grounds for loss of scholarship support.

4. Failure to Fulfill Scholarship Obligations

4.1. Non-compliance with Reporting Requirements: Some scholarships require periodic reports, check-ins, or evidence of academic progress. Failing to submit these could disqualify the beneficiary.

4.2. Lack of Participation in Required Activities: Our scholarship includes mentoring, field visits and workshops components. Non-participation without valid reasons may lead to disqualification.

5. Changes in Financial Situation

5.1. Improved Financial Status: If a significant positive change in the beneficiary’s financial situation occurs (such as a new job for a parent or significant inheritance), they may no longer qualify for need-based support.

6. Lack of Communication or Response

– Unresponsiveness: Failure to respond to communications from the scholarship organization, which might include requests for updates or participation in events, could indicate a lack of interest and lead to disqualification.

7. Violation of Scholarship Agreement

– Breaking Scholarship Terms: If the scholarship has specific conditions (such as not transferring to a different field of study, institution, or country without permission), breaking these terms could result in disqualification.
